For other examples of derivative works, just click the Screenshots tab of this very forum. Any avatar that's not from an actual anime (or VTuber or game model) is an original character, almost all of which got parts from somewhere rather than being modeled from scratch.
You can use GCFScape on regular HL2 just fine.
