I highly recommend vive trackers with base stations instead of slimevr trackers that track each other.
SlimeVR uses the sensors to guess and estimate where your body parts are. You will need to wear more trackers as a result. (3 trackers minimum for vive, 5 minimum for slime) setting up stuff is really tiring!
It's bad IMO, your feet will be sliding on the ground as compared to vive trackers with base stations.
Just buy vive trackers if you ever feel like having a full body.
I have tried xbox kinect, mocopi, tundra as well as AI-generated motion capture. But as I have said before, setting up is a pain in the ass.
I've found that vive trackers are truly a one and done deal, no further calibration needed other than in-game. You want to get as much game time as possible, instead of wasting time setting up.
The only real roadblock is MONEY.
I have quest 2 virtual desktop with vive tracker. I do like index but tis expensive and u need to sue cable.. I hate cable by any means. SO thats why i bought quest 2, Maybe u shoudl consider to buy Quest 3 its comign out this month!
Mind you, I use my VR Setup since 3,5 years, and used it around 5000h in total. Just to give some context to my anecdote.
PS: With much much less issues I specifically mean: basically none.
