Merging Accounts

Hi i have a question i use Quest 2 and i play VRchat on it what happens if i merge My Quest account with my Steam one what are the benefits of merging the accounts (yeah im quite new to vrchat)

Logging into vrchat for the first time using steam, your name in game will be whatever your steam name is with a random 4 combination of letters and numbers. When you create a vrchat account and merge it with your steam, your name will change to whatever you choose your vrchat account name to be and it wont have this random combination.
