Spotify currently playing in chatbox as status

I've seen people having this above their head in the chatbox but how does this work and how can you do this?

I think people just copy/paste the "song artist - title" into the chatbox. Haven't seen this personally but I'd assume this is what they're doing.

The Chatbox got implemented as a replacement for people wo can't or are unable to speak. It's an accessability feature.
If I see a chatbox I'm reading it, because it (should be) what that person is saying. Seeing chatboxes that shows me what they are listening, or what the utilization of their PC is, is just annoying.

I'm sorry but there's no rules in how people want to use their chatbox. If it's to show what they're currently playing, they are well within their rights to do so just like you have the ability to block or mute them if it annoys you.

OP was just asking how people were doing it, not for opinions about what the guidelines for a chatbox should be, so relax a bit please.

So... don't read them? It's why there is a setting for you to show which chat boxes you want. If someone wants to play spotify on their chat box, who are you are you to dictate that they can't. If chat boxes bother you in social games, then maybe they aren't for you. One Chat Box sound every 3-4minutes shouldn't bother you.

There is a chat box spotify script thingy that you can use which automatically posts your spotify song title and artist. I'm actually trying to figure it out myself right now, (which is how I ended up here lol)

To you guys who actually want to do the whole spotify thing with your chatbox, it's a script and it needs you to simply just have OSC enabled in your menu on VRC

You can, just block or mute them. Simple. If chat boxes on a game is so bothersome to you, social games probably aren't for you. Chat boxes have been around since games have been online. If the music or text bother you, then turn it off in public lobbies. :)

Then again I'm not innocent, I've had my share of arguments or coping over something stupid in a game I didn't like on occasion but I rarely post or talk in forums for most games anyways, also don't bring this post back up, just put a pin in it here.

It does matter. Come on, guys.

On the other hand I cannot understand the need of showing what one is listening, especially if they are not using mic, emote animations, nor text to communicate themself to others.

It has 0 purpose.
