what rendering api?
so i know VRCHAT windows uses dx9 or dx11 but what does the oculus version use? DX is a preparatory rendering api for windows operating systems so what does VR chat use to render for a device that basically just runs modified android?

that doesn't answer my question. if it doesn't use DX then what are they using to render? android can use either opengl or vulkan but it's possible to pass vulkan in an opengl environment to use both.

the reason i ask cause on proton dxvk has bad performance but if VRchat had opengl then it could use more of my CPU instead and have less stress on my GPU which has been causing fps drops as low as 5 fps.

That doesn't answer his question. Vulkan can run on Android Phones and so can UE4, it all depends on what your app is trying to do and what the device is capable of handling. Unity is capable of using vulkan on Android builds, but I don't think VRchat uses that. OP can try asking in the discord.
