maybe adults shouldn't give minors unattended access to the internet?

then get all mad when the unlimited expanses of the internet show their kid something raw.

stupid internet raised my kid wrong! gosh this is gotta be somebody elses fault!

It's both parent and child to blame especially if they know what they are doing and the parents for letting it happen

The problem is not really the game, well kinda, the problem are the spoiled kids who are not supposed to be in here, to be honest 13-14 years old kids nowdays since 2000 ish are pretty grown to know mature things.
I've seen kids in the game and i mean those below the age for a VR, talking freely about dongs, melons and such...so honestly i blame their parents that probably don't want anything to do with their kids so they spoil them in VR so they shut up? I guess?

Not NSFW avatars are hurting children, it is the developers. Did you know that there is a flag for each avatar whether it is sfw or nfsw? When you upload it you have to specify that. So it would be so easy to integrate an option that you do not see such avatars.

Whoever makes false declarations when uploading violates the tos. But what does vrchat do with this information? Nothing, exactly: NOTHING. This avatar attribute is not used. It would be so simple that creators of worlds set an option that such avatars can not be worn. On the other hand, there could be worlds for adults only.

Content creators must already specify whether it is sfw or not. I agree with your statement, but you can see where it fails. It also harms adults in the long run if everyone has access to adult content. It is not only about nsfw but also about serious topics.

hate to be that guy but do you have an idea of how many avatars are uploaded daily?
it would probably require a massive amount of human workers to dig through avatar after avatar. checking to see if they are nude or if they have some equippable system that allows them to be nude.

and if you're gonna think a bot would be able to do that..... well thats why we have EAC.... and of course the people that was meant for have found ways around it.

one time a skin at an event world was for sale. you could equip it and it would have watermarks and copyrights on it. but you could remove its clothing and be nude and details. it had adjustable feminine body parts and of course everything jiggled.
and this was something you could buy.
and it was front line as a world to check out.

remember that. a nude female skin with jiggly bodyparts was for sale on a public avatar world recommended to visit.

It'd far easier to Not allow kids on this game.
it'd be like going to the red light district and being offended when you see S*x workers.

I have no idea if you understood my comment? There is already a system in place, but it is not being used. Why don't we start with that first? Why do I have to specify as content creator when uploading if it's sfw or not, but has no effect at all?

Secondly, what does this have to do with EAC? That is neither effective at uploading, since that happens via unity directly, nor in the client itself to block nsfw? ...or are you referring to IP and MAC addresses? You can change these. EAC also doesn't check your ID card

I agree with: "It'd far easier to Not allow kids on this game." ... But adults also want to decide whether they want to attend a sfw or nsfw world. That doesn't solve the basic problem. It's not about bots, kids, whatever, but simply separating adult content from the rest. After that, you can always take the next step. For a long time, age verification has also been requested.

Edit: Just have a look at the API documentation. "Tags are a way to grant access, assign restrictions, or attach other kinds of metadata to various to objects..."

There are already tags for: content_sex, content_violence, content_gore and content_other (NSFW). On one hand, the TOS says that it is actually only tolerated, on the other hand, there are extra tags that are not used properly from the developers. As an example what could be a solution: Only those who can prove their age can use worlds / avatars with such tags. Of course, adults who do not like such topics could then also hide it.

Cool.
you think humans are going to select they a nsfw avatar?

my first day in vrchat i met a mute girl who had a nude avatar on a public server.
she then realised this and equipped clothes.

18 is legal age and at that point you are considered an adult

13+ still not acceptable, pedophile.
How are they being a pedophile? I mean they are saying that the game is for ages 13 and up and that if they are under 13 then they shouldn't be playing the game to begin with. I mean seriously that's all they said they never said that it the NSFW avatars should be allowed in private worlds.

What's wrong with big butts and breasts? Have your kids never been to Wallmart or something, or you turn them away every passing mobility scooter?

The Oculus Quest and it's consequences have been a disaster for VRChat users.
