When will my trust level go up?

I have about 211 hours in this game, im a new user and curious just how long it takes to get my trust level up. Ive been visiting worlds and getting my hours up, yet it seems to not go up at all in the slightest.

It's not about how many hours you spend; it's about how many public instances you visit and how many people you meet and make friends with.

If all you do is wander alone around worlds in invite only instances you've set up, then your trust rank will never go up.

Overly simplified. If playing normally, you should expect the following ranks after a certain amount of hours.

Visitor - New Account
New User - 10 Hours
User - 100 Hours
Known User - 250 Hours
Trusted User - 500 Hours

You gain trust by interacting with people, being in worlds with people, uploading and having other people use your content, having people friended. There may be more.

You LOSE trust by unfriending people, getting blocked, hidden, muted, or reported. Lose enough trust and you'll find out there is a unlisted trust level.

Being AFK will not gain trust, so hours alone is only a "rough" measure. Assuming you weren't doing things that caused you to lose trust.

If you want a immediate trust boost, buying VRC+ Will automatically increase your trust by one full rank.

I've never heard of people losing trust from being hidden, muted or unfriending people. You have any source info on those?

thing is i cant really upload stuff, i have quite a few ppl added and ive been through world after world with people and i have over 200 hours so im just a bit confused when u say user is 100 hours and i have 200+ and im still new user

A friend purged their friend's list and their rank went down. I'm under the assumption they were not well into their newest rank. Take it with a grain of salt.

From the wiki :

Nuisance (dark gray) - A negative rank lower than a Visitor. Users under this rank are automatically muted, and their avatar hidden by everyone unless unhidden or unmuted by another player's choice. This can be achieved by being muted, blocked, and/or reported multiple times in a short time span as a Visitor or New User.

i started like literaly solo wondering around cuz all seemed to be on their own waves but then i meet couple of nice persons with some i had a good times in vr chat so i invited them in friends i dont know how it works but i know im out of visitors in to new user stage now as others mentioned its i guess about interacting and being social

make sure you've merged your account with a vrchat account or else your trust level is gonna go up ridiculously slow

I have 370 hours and I’m still a user lol. I mostly just play chess in public worlds.

That's simply not true, it's maybe from visitor to new user. But every rank above that takes more than just VRC+. There are multiple statements of the VRC Team who confirms that (and friends of mine who didn't rank up after they got VRC+, those who did rank up where already user/known user for quite a while aka. their internal trust "score" was already quite high).

I think I was trusted after 250 or so hours. But I guess that is because I make and upload Avatars and Worlds which are public.
By now I'm Veteran ;) (a rank which isn't visible in the game, but still in the system, same with legendary).

who cares about rank lie it has some importance. Who cares if u have the word "new" in your title, its about your actions. Yeah there are people out there who go out of thier way to make sure they mute and block every last person whos rank is new user or visitor but who cares? I admit it, i used to be afraid to play this game because people were saying on steam discussions to remove all pc players because it is not for them its for vr users only but then i stopped caring because thats funny to hate pc users for that reason, its free i save money.

What im trying to say is stop caring about your rank, play this game, and have fun.

While you are visitor, you can't upload your own stuff so that's probably why those ppl care.
