New to VR Chat. Any tips?

Hey guys, Just installing VR Chat as we speak. I'm new to the platform and I've always wanted to try it. Just wanted to know is there anything I should be aware of before I start chatting with people etc? I don't have any friends to play with and I'm completely new to the game. I just want to meet nice and chilled laid back people I can hang out with. I'm pretty shy with anxiety and would like to try to conqure it with VR Chat by chatting with people, making friends, etc. How can I go about making friends since this is my FIRST time playing? I don't want to get muted my first time talking to people. I'm not annoying so I'm pretty shy and quiet at first but once you get to know me I'm pretty out going and fun to hang around with. Also with Trolls. How do you avoid them? I want to play to have fun so dont want to get involved with any jerks in the game. Haha. I just got a new gaming PC and it supports VR and I'll be buying a VR headset really soon. Anyone wanna become friends and show me around in game so I can get the hang of the stuff? My main question is. How do I make friends with out sounding like a complete idiot? lol. Sorry. xD Hope to see you in game. Hope everyone's having a good day. :) ^_^ I'm a nice person so yea. I wouldn't know where Avatars and stuff are so Im a complete loss. lol. Can you make your own too? Don't be scared to go up and talk to people. If you don't start a conversation, nobody will talk to you. Unless you want to just sit back and watch people interact with each other, that's fine too.

i wanna ask something. does it recommend to install Unity before installing the vrchat steam? and assuming i have already installed Unity and VRChat steam, how do i import or load an avatar in vrchat steam? some says need to import or load it in Unity first before, opening the vrchat. was it true?
