Also, FYI: Deviantart is another good resource for materials (clothing, hair, even some bases).
I am interrested what avatar you want me to give life too :D
Edit: Warte.. wie geil! Du kannst ja deutsch! Kriegste nen rabatt lmao!
My first few avatars was made from models found online. Had to do all of the rigging and plenty of fixes with some amount of texture work, but it's a place to start if you intend to learn the entire process.
Currently have 2 projects at the moment. 1 is something I ripped out of a PS2 game, it was a nightmare to fix that model. And the other is a frankenstien for a friend, she gathered several parts and asked me to combine them all together.
Paid avatars are more than worth the money. Very much so if you are skilled enough to make one yourself. But when you want to learn to do it yourself then there's no better way than to just dive in headfirst.
I'd post links and give names, but frankly there's too many to go off of. Find your way to the Lewd Market discord and you'll pretty much see 70% of the avatar creators in VR Chat.
You can also find commissions those can range from $100.00 - $1,000.00 and more.
