vrchat is dead
The best place to go is overrun with unoptimized avatars and the map is unoptimized, i am of course talking about the great pug. The old pug was so much more optimized, and this game was so much better when they actually enforced the 20k polygon limit. Now its just unoptimized after unoptimized. Sure I can turn off the avatars but the whole point of vrchat was in my opinion to see funny avatars, its not so funny just seeing robots walking around. Before anyone says "get a better PC" my pc is fine, I have 16 gigs of ram, a ryzen 1600 with 6 cores and a radeon 5500 XT with 8 gigs of ram. So no its not my computer, its just the game is so unoptimized due to everyone always being over the polygon limit. It honestly makes me sad. I know they are about to get more optimized due to the 80m investment, but how long until then? Its so unplayable right now.

It still amazes me what the quest 2 is capable of. Sure it's no comparison to a proper PC, but for what it is, it's quite powerful.

It still amazes me what the quest 2 is capable of. Sure it's no comparison to a proper PC, but for what it is, it's quite powerful.
if only they would just make it so everyone can see the pc players.

Like mentioned before not possible because of the hardware being too weak to handle alot of the stuff PC players are capable of. Even as is they're barely capable of running the game because people dont even optimize alot of their avatars to begin with.

That is technically not possible, even IF the quest 2 would have enough performance, it couldn't run the the stuff (worlds/Avatars) for PC. As the scripts and shaders for them are compiled to run on directX (they should replace it with vulkan anyway >.>), and x86 hardware.

honestly i agree, but whats worse than that? the blatant blind eye to those stealing creators work, i spent months making avtars and worlds, and it all was stolen the instant Ripperstore came back online after being taken down not by vrchat, but content creators reporting the website to companies like cloudfare, its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sad that a company with so many investors hasnt sorted out an issue ChilloutVR, a smaller game that relies on PATREONs and payed DLC for content creators to stay afloat, has already got all great crasher crackdown, way better safety system and the best Anti rip system of any game right now, How does vrchat manage to do worse than a smaller game with only 3 developers, its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke, its also why i no longer make content on vrchat and rarely play it now, CVR is way better, if your already disliking vrchat move to CVR, its in dire need of more players

Sure... CVR doesn't have any people who create crasher avatars, and there is a simple explanation: at the time of me writing that, there are 13, yes thirteen people online in CVR. While on VRChat there are 23339 people online.

And btw. CVR has the same issues, it's just that there is no value for someone to rip content or crash people in CVR, as there is basically nothing to gain.

If you have user created content you will get people who abuse it, and if you have a system which displays things (like all games, duh), you can rip content out if it.

Yeah, that's only steam info. Remember, vrchat exists on oculus too. Every single quest user doesn't fall into your above stats (Unless they link to a PC anyway)

Back on 2017 from what i noticed, it had some recognition and there were no obnoxious/toxic people at that time, not that i'm unaware of, performance has been really demanding ever since and i'm not sure if i can still get on there anymore like i used to, still a low end pc user and i'm still able to get on certain worlds let alone the lag not because of the models because i've turned them off but it's because of the amount of players that are in one world that's causing it, regardless of optimization i have nothing to say about that
