can you play vrchat with only a vr headset
So, I've recently been wondering if I should buy a VR headset because I like VRChat
but, the thing is that I don't want to buy VR controllers.

You need the controllers to be able to move and interact in VR.

If ya really want, buy a $299 Oculus quest if you want to just play it with just a headset

That seems like an absolutely terrible idea...
And even the "cheap" Oculus products come with controllers included

you can play it with a headset and mouse and keyboard, or even with an xbox controller.
but keep in mind that it wasn't designed for that, and unless you are physically hindered to use controllers, there are only downsides to _not_ use controllers.

"I wanna buy the vr headset without the controllers"
"I wanna make meatballs without any sauce"
"I wanna buy a video game without a console"
"I wanna do something without doing anything"
"I wanna watch TV without a satellite"

This is so redundant you might as well play in desktop. If you cant even afford controllers with your headset I doubt you can even afford a system that runs the game in VR.

What if I use Keyboard and Mouse/Xbox Controller with the VR headset on?

There are no mainstream/officially supported headsets that don't come with controllers in the box unless you're buying something like a Valve Index one part at a time. I would personally advise against getting any headset that does not come with them for some reason.

It doesn't mean that. It's because I have been scrolling through internet shops and I NEVER found a VR package that had VR controllers. (Fun fact: The most thing I found was VR boxes . Yes there are VR headsets that call themselves VR boxes.)

You clearly arent very observant then because most actual capable VR headsets come with controllers. Anything that doesnt is usually cheap garbage, bought in pieces (index), or meant for mobile phones.

To be fair giving what OP is saying, it sounds like he wants a cheaper way to get in, why not give it to him, he'll learn how to use it

VRChat works fine with a headset and KB/M or controller last I used it with a headset. (PSVR and a bunch of software/driver hacks to make it look like an OVR headset to Steam VR)

TBH, its not even the cost of the controllers, its the lack of room for me.
