Why is ur pfp knuckles?
Am i the only one who thinks its an outdated meme thats old and weird af?
But what i do find interesting/dumb is how many of the user created avatar maps are anime waifus. Can we have more than like 5 male avatar worlds and more male avatars in general that arent dragon ball z or memes?
i dont have a problem with there being so many anime waifus but i do find it annoying how hard it is to find a good world when looking for males
- 95% of avaters ARE female anime chars
- These anime girls tend to be of highest quality in terms of looks, functionality, etc.
Basically there are 2 main categories of avatars:
- "Cute" avatars that you use if you want positive reaction from people (eg. make some friends, talk, etc.) - these are usually anime girls
- "Fun" avatars to joke/roleplay. These tend to be very low quality (bad textures, glitchy animations, no eye movement, etc.)
There's also horror avatars but since I don't find them particulary scary you can argue they fall into "Fun" category aswell.
I think, instead, that a person just tends to notice a male player with a female avatar because it strikes them as "odd" for whatever reason. And they ignore the vast population of "normality" around them and concentrate on the abnormal. Calling it out in a public forum as being weird is a kneejerk reaction to a new experience and simply a sign of internet immaturity. Most of us have been on the internet long enough to realize that in places like VRChat, we can be whatever we want to be, and many people are chasing a unique and memorable experience that is different from their hum drum and forgetable daily life. One of the easiest ways to do that is to become something you are normally not -- in this case appearing as female. This holds true for tall people playing short avatars and vice versa. People who are six and a half feet in real life often play waist-high avatars to see what the world is like from a different viewpoint.
Most quality male avatars are done personally person to person.
