IPV6 to IPV4
Hey Everybody,

I just wanted to leave this possible solution for loading problems here, in case someone is having trouble with long loading times on worlds, avatars, or whatever in VRchat.
Not saying this will work for everyone, but as I did have problems with loading times myself and tried many different things to solve it, I was happy to luckily stumble upon a website which finally pointed me in the right direction.

So after clearing my steam cache (which, to be fair, slightly helped), going to appdata, deleting the VRchat folders in roaming and locallow and doing other stuff, most of which didn't help at all, I accidentally stumbled upon this website:

https://medium.com/@JockDaRock/disabling-ipv6-on-network-adapter-windows-10-5fad010bca75

After digging in my network options, as it says in the article above, I found out that I had both my IPV6 and IPV4 turned on.
For some reason VRchat has big beef with IPV6 and that's what caused my VRchat to have loading times longer than the wae of uganda knuckles.
When I turned my IPV6 off, my internet prioritized IPV4 and now everything runs smooth as butter.

So yeah, if anyone is on the hunt for dealing with their long, pesky loading times in VRchat, try it out, who knows.

These are my 2 cents!

I'm having nearly constant "Time Out" and "Not Responding" errors, and I just used "test-ipv6.com" to verify that I am using IPV4. It's good to hear that people are looking into these server issues, but unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be the source of mine. I'd love to hear any other ideas though!

Oof... Those sound like problems that go a level deeper than what I experienced.
I have not had any kind of errors, crashes or time-outs during my time in VRchat and
I can't even begin to think what could be the cause besides the obvious advice, such as try clearing your steam cache, try deleting the VRchat folders in appdata and try to look if your driver needs an update.

Do you play any other VR games on your device? If yes, do you experience any of those problems there are well?

For me, nothing has changed. Not sure if it's just me or what because my load times are about 5 or 10 minutes each.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the Steam and Oculus versions of VRChat, as well as cleared the data files in the User folder. Nothing has changed my issue with "Not Responding" and "Timed Out". I still get them all of the time.

I have been able to stay in a room for upwards of 30 minutes, if I stand perfectly still when entering a room, and wait for a few minutes. This seems to work maybe 40% of the time, and only if there's not alot of people popping in and out. It's a little better if I set the "Safety" settings to Maximum, but even that only improves my odds, it doesn't stop the problem.

I can't imagine why VRChat isn't waiting longer before giving up on whatever it's giving up on. It seems to be FREAKING OUT about something minor, and acting like I have no connection to them at all. People see and hear me, I know they are getting data, and I know I can see data from the other players as they move around and talk. I'm getting dropped when there's no apparent issue at all. This issue is SO FRUSTRATING!
