What's Up With All the Anime Avatars?

Why are most the people in VR using anime avatars that are girl characters always men? I've never understood this, I only encountered two or three women in female anime avatars. Why is it always men in them? Is this a fetish y'all have? If you want me to address you as a man, you're supposed to look like a man.

I have Scathach as my avatar because I respect her as an anime character PLUS all the male avatars aren't of interest. They either look too decimated for VRchat standards, or they're the "whiny" types in anime, or "fake cool" American media types that it's just hard to find any male avatars. It's just hard connecting with any male avatar types that I simply went with Scathach because of how awesome she is......

I've met a few female avatar female person types, just gotta keep an eye out for them.

Maybe if people started making male characters that aren't "fake edgy" or "anime whiny" then you'd see people actually using male characters more. Woman in anime are just colourful that it's easier with how expressive they tend to be..

Im also tired of all the weebs and anime stuff... Anime is trying to infiltrate my life at every degree either it is facebook or people I meet online... Its getting to a cringy level.... I would rather see them all replaced by furries... srsly...

When they opened the live 2D app on facerig it wrecked the workshop. All the hardworked 3D models people made including mine was pushed into the corners by people exploding the place with easily made anime imports... What the F even is this MMD stuff? cant people model?

Also if you see me you will likely see this guy with a bunch of alien avatars and VR. I appreciate anyone who doesnt use the mainstream anime characters...

This is loosely aimed at 'Zefnoly':

I'll be honest that I hate my own anime community because it has people just behaving like locusts that if it's tiny bit "mainstream" people will scoop it up, ruin it, then move on to the next "big thing". People are simply following fads that I'm getting highly frustrated how they ruined 'kitsunemimi' (fox ears; Fox spirits) that something rare and special has been made so common and worthless that it just agitates me. The fox ears & Fox tails on female characters are supposed to be rare Inari messengers, not locust type entities. The cat ears & cat tail, that's fine... .That's supposed to be common.

Fox ears & tails though, when done right, they're awesome. There are some who pull it off nicely while others simply attach them onto their character it doesn't seem right.

Everybody seeks out Bismarck in KanColle; Everybody has Scathach in F/GO; Yuudachi; Seeing an increasing number of '02's' in VRChat, yet still at appropriate levels. I can't even say Yuudachi's "Poi!" line because of how others spammed it to hell and back wearing out Yuudachi's awesome line into nothingness........

You saw how bad the locust thing was with Knuckles meme...... Anime community is toxic that I'm also agitated by people hating on 'Darling In The FranXX' for every stupid reason imaginable that you can't enjoy what you want to enjoy. It's a weird line that someone is going to misunderstand me here that people should also take a peak into the lesser known & less common things in anime, and whatever else is out there.

I hate Darling in the FranXX for how cancerous your fandom is. It's on the level of Steven Universe Toxicity. Not to mention, I just can't get into the show. It's just so boring to me, reminds me of every harem anime out there, boring. (Sorry, really ain't all that into romance).

If it's negative or cancerous then it ain't my fandom nor my community. The community I want to be is a positive one that it seems harder and harder to find it with people wanting to mouth off all the damn time while following other people like lemmings with tribal mentality.

People in the Darling Community infuriated me with how they're finding every single damn excuse to hate it by 1) Harassing the staff + voice actors related to Ichigo with death threats (seems to be a standard Japanese thing to do), 2) calling it right wing, 3) finding every single flaw they can to hate it, 4) Saying it's anti-LGBT because of a failed pairing, among other nonsense. The show is awesome, I love it, yet the people out there bashing it remind me of the "No Fun!" robot from Futurama Sonic comic. No fun allowed.

Sorry, but I see Darling in the FranXX as entertaining because thankfully I still haven't had it spoiled by the community as you may have that I still enjoy where it's going without getting all controversial about things trying to feel offended at every turn about every single thing out there. It's still a mecha anime and less of a harem anime where it's also trying to be philosophical. People are put off by philosophical side of anime that they want something more "dumbed down" that I've seen many people hate perfectly good shows because it made them think too much.

Each to their own on that part that if you didn't enjoy Darling in the FranXX then it just wasn't meant for you then. It's meant for me, and people who aren't whining about how much Darling in the FranXX sucks......

After a month later, people were saying all those death threats were fake and a hoax, or it never happened, as well as it being a joke. It makes me so angry that they're lying. Do these fans think they own the company? Listen, I like psychological stuff and a bit of slice of life, just a tiny bit, but we've been sitting here for 4 to 6 episodes straight with no action and I'm bored. It reminds me of that crappy Star Wars novel called Aftermath, with a ridiculous amount of commas and parentheses, as well as bad writing. A quote from the book: "The TIE wibbles and wobbles through the air, careening drunkenly across the Myrran rooftops - it zigzags herkily-jerkily out of sight." And the reason I don't like so much Slice of Life stuff is too normal for me. One part in this book wasted an entire 2 to 3 or 4 page chapter of Luke Skywalker going to buy fast food, buys fast food, find a seat, share a seat with a couple, have a conversation with the couple while chowing down, as well as using the force to move a noodle into his mouth. Though unlike the Star Wars fanbase when we dislike/hate something, we don't send death threats to the creators of the show like the Darling in the Franxx fandom did. All we just did was disagree with stuff and leave it at that, not act like a mental patient escaping a padded room from an asylum. And I was told to watch Harem anime to get myself into more anime since I only like Dragon Ball, My Hero Academia, and Jojo. Hated Highschool DxD, Trinity Seven, Shinmai Maou Testament, Infinite Stratos, In A World With my Smart Phone, etc. I now see why people say there's a ton of bad anime. The only harem anime I liked though was Konosuba, but to me, it's less like a harem anime and more like the MC trying to survive in a party filled with idiots who happen to be female.
