VR Tinder? This community is awful.
I enjoyed this game for a while but it really seems like it's composed of attention-seeking e-girls with really lewd avatars who are being surrounded and pursued endlessly by a bunch of e-boys with the same gangster-looking effeminate fox avatars who try to act slick and hope for some ERP.

I've only played for about 40 hours and I just see a lot of incredibly depressed people hoping to find love and it's kind of a buzzkill. It seems like the people who are really active on here also play in private worlds, which means the public worlds are flooded with edgey memers and it's impossible to meet any decent people on there.

Is it just me? I'd love to play with more people who are looking to screw around and have fun and explore cool worlds but I'm just seeing a lot of thirst from all parties involved. Feel free to add me, username is "ChaseFace".

Yea, I've seen what you are talking about. It mostly happens in worlds that have a cluby vibe to them, like the void. Worlds that are more pub like, like the great pug, don't seem to have that problem, or it isn't as extreme.

However, I do understand why they do it. Loneliness is quite painful and it can drive one to do quite a bit to remove the pain. Sadly, it tends to warp one's mind quite a bit, which would explain the depressing tone.

From what I have seen, what you see in VRchat is due to a wider problem that affects the world as a whole. Despite the large population, a large percent of people feel quite lonely, as there is often something that prevents them from trying to forming a bond with them. I can't go into too much detail here as it involves law, politics and morals of many people and people in the steam forums are not to happy with such discussions.

As you can see, I am too affected by this problem. Thankfully, you will not find me with those avatars. I feel dirty using them. At most, I will only use Naofumi if I find one.

On the bright side, you can make a lot of trap jokes with this.

Tbh I shouldnt and cant judge them, afterall Im part of the "Drinking,, Community in VR and we are a bunch of friendly weirdos for our own standard. As people mentioned above me, those E People appear mostly in modern club like worlds and pubs are rather filled with memers.

Ignorant? no. More like desperation. Ignorance is tied to intelligence. In the situations in question, the people there are simply lonely. A problem that can affect anyone.

What I think is going on is that their base programming, which we all have, tells them to be friendly to the perceived girl. Problem is that being nice to a girl online has very little chances of working, as 4 chan can tell you.

What I recommend is to not demonize the desire, but to remind them of the cold reality and to have some self control.

You can't be smart wasting your time being a woman's tail for hours and hours straight. That is simply an animal behaviour that is sneakily overshadowing the guy's personality attributes, like, to the point they are least pronounced. What's left is "oh, you're here after that woman too? go away!" and "get away from my woman" that is heard through their speech. That is where the edge is coming from, imo.

The only cure is more self-control, which would be problematic to a person who is gladly leaving out all his personality traits to pursue a chance for a quickie with a random girl he only knows since now. Different people have their own levels of "sensitivity" to certain stimulus, so some of them are simply slaves to their own hormones. Some think that THIS is how you get a girl, but others are just stuck there, being able do nothing but that, because other activities give them way less "response" than this one.

That is not demonizing men, that is shaming for behaving bad, making troubles for themselves and others.
Girls have their share of animal behaviour as well. That is why "edgy f-bois" are always orbiting "over the top sexy avatar" girls. Because those girls are also emanating the same "animal" stuff, and the two behaviours are just complementing each other.

If an f-boi is getting edgy on you - that is not because he is a bad person. It's because to him, you're someone who is competing for the female. Just block him. Trying to resolve him won't help, and you still won't be able to discuss anything with him. That behaviour is a perfect mark of a pretty basic, common human being with no big interests. He'll change.. 2-3 years later, but for now, he is useless and uninteresting to chat with(he is here just for that girl over there, remember?), so you better not trigger his instincts.

I have made some decent friends we get along good and so on we also had some serious discussion and so on. Especially when we played League of Legends when we first met lmao we talked trough Vrchat cuz we're mad lads. It's really about the luck u have sometimes u have just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in a lobby but even then u can talk with some more normal people. It's all about your charisma.
