VRChat does not have a rating from the ESRB.

Dude, Age Rating, not minimum age. Age Rating is a scale, like movies in the US (G, PG, PG-13 etc). don't remember the video game scale, but M=R pretty much

vrchat might be not rated

The minimum age is 13 as per the TOS. VRChat does still not have an age rating by the ESRB.

That would be Teen but i dont belive this game has any rating atm

almost any EULA/terms of service asks for 13 age or "adult reading it"(especialy with online multiplayer element) , its almost blanket statement that noone pays attention to

what i find conflicting is when you upload your avatar it lets you select "gore , adult , nudity" and then game flatout says you cant do that

Second life was at least very clear what they want.

According to the things I saw on YT I woulds say it's rated AO...

As Squid has already said, it has not been rated by the ESRB or any other IARC organization yet. The TOS states as I posted earlier.

is VRchat isnt like Second life? theres no place or restriction places to be naked?
Tubish Aug 31, 2019 @ 2:46am
If devs somehow find out that you're under 13,they will ban you.My friend(who was 12 at time) got banned for 1 year, cause he said he's 12 in a public lobby, when he turned 13,he had to email devs and tell them that.

Nice attitude, but tbh when it comes to children I think a 10 year old shouldn't already know what sex and stuff is all about. Don't you think? :LIS_poker_face:

VRchat is pure online and thus there isnt a rating. ESRB ratings ONLY apply to games that have none multiplayer aspects. this is why when you read the ESRB rating for ANY game that has online play its specifically states "online gameplay is NOT rated by the ESRB" they never rated online because its impossible to.

so squid is correct in that the game doesnt have a rating. if anything the game is M for mature (HAH!) because adult content in prohibited for the game. so the game cannot be AO.

That content is user created and not part of the game though. The ESRB would only check the official content provided with the game itself.

At least I know of no cases where the age rating was affected by unofficial mods uploaded by other users.
