Movement types

I am using an Oculus Rift.
When I'm moving in the game i can spectate myself walking around and teleport to the position afterwards. In Youtube videos I've seen people move around in first person.
Is that only a vive thing or is there a setting somewhere?

In VRChat's menu under settings there should be options for 3rd person and classic locomotion. Classic is first person.
