So...why are expeditions replacing normal quests?

I remember back in like 2013 you had to wait until a timer ran out, then you'd have a quick fight with a random mob. . .

Is that still a thing or have Expeditions taken its place?

You can pick both, expeditions or the normal quests.

In the settings. You can do it once a day before you use thirst.

You still have to fight a mob and wait unless you use an Hourglass for that (you can pretty much skip every quest u gonna have too many than you can use)

You can switch between expeditions and quests once a day.
