New UI and change in publisher?

We all know that the new UI sucks, but I was wondering if this has something to do with "StillFront" which shows up when you launch the game now?

That watermark was not there before and I now that I checked it, it looks like a mobile game developer/publisher (which makes ♥♥♥♥♥♥ games by the way)

I am not engaged with S&F twitch or other stuff so I don't know when this take over happened, but I think they wanted to "leave their mark" on something they just got their hands on, as many of these companies do.

If my conjecture is correct and they have been sold out, then the UI change is a harbinger of the many bad things that will come later on, seeing how their first massive change was and the manner in which it was implemented.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

ahh explains alot.. thats page after page of POOR click bait trash mobile games.. With Albayawn so well one ' real ' game.. I suspect they wont like the curve on ' total players '.. =)

Several years. Yet... Something HAS changed.

Hypothetically, there are probably a lot of veteran members of the development team who had to have recognized a bad idea when they saw one. Hypothetically, one might assume they had no choice in the matter.

Hypothetically, any public relations guy who is required to be the sacrificial point man for such a lost cause has my hypothetical sympathies...

p.s. Not for nothing, but I too am getting soooooo sick of developers --from the Operating System on down -- turning my Desktop into their Mobile Terminal !!!

While it is true that they have been acquired for several years, something is not right.
Overnight, without any beta testing (seriously what were they thinking?), they drop this crap which makes the game look very similar to those crappy mobile games, in terms of the menus and the new art. Also, the fact that this parent company specialises in these things is off putting, as if the game has lost its charm.

I only play on PC; I only use the mobile app if I'm on holiday or sth.
If I wanted to play ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobile games, I would play exactly those.

I'm going to be honest, I dislike changing something that used to work/function and was adequate. UI changes in things like whatsapp, browsers , etc really bothers me and reeks of corporate pressure to implement a "Change" , however unnecessary.

I've been playing this game because it was like muscle memory to me. I refuse to be inconvenienced because of ♥♥♥♥ decisions. If this is their final call, then these will be my final minutes in this game.

I understand your frustration. The new UI is definitely not final and will be improved and tweaked based on community feedback.
