Random gaming clip is starting in the background with S&F

Since they released the new version of steam, any time i start S&F there is a random gaming clip from anothergame running behind 2 times unsynchronized. All i can do is turning off my audio. Anyone with the same problem? I can't even tell why this happens.

Steam playing a advertising video from another game when you start s&f? Thats definitely not steam. There is something wrong with your pc.

I hadn't the problem before the new version. so it must be steam.

I made a video to it, because of the stupid zero iq people into this thread here. Mabye it helps the support out to find the issue. I can turn off the sound anyways, i just wanted to mentioning it that there is a issue since they started the new steam client.

About the clip: I don't have a clue, but as Marshm311ow said it might be GeForce.
Our Steam version does not launch other apps at the same time.

Sorry and thanks so far, but telling me on french i'm half paranoid or i hear something that dosn't exists isn't nice too. It sounds like half toxic out of your mouth guys. ;-)
About Geforece Exerience. I opend the app, but i mean the app while starting S&F has no advertising right? Not sure. Also steam is weird too, when i start a game i can't open steam per task bar anymore too. Might be the new steam version.

Before we keep guessing what might be the issue you could try to uninstalling geforce experience and try again. Also what you can try is to open the soundmixer (right click the bottom right sound icon) and check where the sound is coming from. And last but not least, open your task manager. You should see what task will be opened with starting sf.

Solution:

Same thing happened to me. What it was was some invisible app that was attached to another app or file I downloaded. What I did was go into settings and click on apps. Then at the very bottom of my apps was one that didnt have a thumbnail or picture next to it. I dont thinking even had a name but they are always at the very bottom of the list. It has the size of the app (in megabytes) but no name or icon. Just delete that app and that took care of those annoying popups.

every time i turn on my speakers or sound i get these random commercials like for consumer products and no picture. They pop up during movies or while trying listen to my i music. and the times are random and they don't last for very long periods of time they just happen a lot.

b. On the Playback tab, select the playback device, click Configure, and then make sure the configurations are set correctly.
If the sound settings are set correctly, you are using speakers as the sound device, and your speakers are already set as the default device.
4. Select the sound device that you want as the default sound device, and then click Set Default.
5. Click OK to save your settings and to close the Sound dialog box.

EDIT:
ps.: A lot people refers it might be the Adobe Flash player. If you still using it uninstalling it might fix your issue.
Others saying spyware causing this issue. Installing a spware detect (google forum
members suggest the MaxSpyware) will fix the issue.

Overall, your pc is definitely infected. It just makes no sense that its the game or steam.

No, there are no ads in the Steam version of S&F. Please scan your computer with anti-malware software.

It is Steam "Client WebHelper". I can mute this in the soundmixer. Seems like steam is running something Game Advertising in the Background while starting S&F. When i mute this and turn on S&F Sounds everything works normal, but Client WebHelper as to be muted. Maybe i let it muted for now until i wanna watch some Steam Game Shop Video. It's weird anyways. No Maleware found. Like i said there has to be a weird bug with the new Steam Version + Steam Game Advertising + S&F. I tryed out all other games i run with steam and they work normal. It just goes on with S&F, what still is weird. :D lol

Moin, heute (Steam update gestern geladen) habe ich exakt das selbe Problem mit Hunt Showdown. Die "Symptome" sind exakt die selben und es ist definitiv der SteamClientWebHelper. Keine Sorge Reva du bist definitiv NICHT paranoid oder ähnliches. Bei mir war es aufgetaucht während ich Hunt offen hatte und daweil auf ein Sonderangebot im Steam Client geklickt hatte, da hatte sich dann nur nicht die Angebotsseite geöffnet sondern lediglich ein Trailer-Video angefangen gefühlt 20mal asynchron zu spielen. Dann spielt der Sound bei mir solange bis ich Hunt wieder schließe, dann hört es auf. Intensiver Virenscan mit teurer Software negativ, Geforce experience (nur um sicher zu gehen da es hier ja Leute behauptet haben) deaktiviert. Es ist zu hundert prozent Steam. Keine Ahnung was die Devs da verbockt haben ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hey, today (I updated Steam yesterday) I encountered the exact same issue just with Hunt Showdown. The "symptoms" are exactly the same for me and its definitly SteamClientWebHelper. No worries Reva, its not just you and you are not paranoid ;)
It happened to me after I clicked on a special offer on the main page of my steam client while I had Hunt open. It just didnt open the sale page but instead started to play a trailer vid like 20 times at the same time just unsynchronised. Those keep playing until I close Hunt. AV-Scan negativ, and just to make sure I had Geforced experience deaktivated. Its 100% sure steam because I dont hear it anymore if i mute SteamClientWebHelper. No idea what the Devs messed up there. Honestly the old steam was fine in my opinion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
