Don't get the 50% mount until you're around lvl 30. It's a waste, you'll get much more out of it later on.
Go for the exp quests only if you're in need of levels. Gold is always better, since you can get more skills up, and beat more dungeons, which later on give +1lvl per boss beaten.
Try to get into a guild as soon as possible. Don't wait at all.
Whenever you can, attack weaker people to fill your scrapbook after you get it. I've seen people who are lvl 200 with a 11% books.
The fortress is a nice way of getting lots of exp and gems. Mages are a waste of time early on, and the academy is godlike at lvl 10+. Keep the gem mine at lvl 10 and let it sit for a while.
If you can, keep the workers and fortress at the same level.
A few levels in barracks are nice, since you'll have more soldiers to attack and steal resources. Later on, get the smithy, because you won't be able to attack anyone with low level troops.
The pets are easy, just level 1 pet at a time and if you see yourself stuck in the habitat, switch to another pet. For pvp, I recommend leveling a single pet at a time.
OP forgot to mention the witch. At lvl 66, you get access to enchants for your items.
Always enchant items as soon as possible. The belt enchant gives you a free beer every day. It says that it costs 1 muschroom, but don't worry, it won't take it away if thats you'r first beer of the day.
going to disagree with the going for gold, that is a great way to piss time away, you want to level faster just because you get more gold and access to more things on top of allowing you also makeing yourself more powerful, I play a warrior, and my armor class is capped at 50%, if i stay let's say level 100, and fight a level 160 enemy, because of the level difference they hit me a hell of alot harder then if i lets say even just 120, that and crit rate adjustments go up and down, as it's all based on your level, not the opponent's level, at least to my understanding, leveling > gold, except when you have your first gold week, that gold week can set you up pretty nice if you play it right
for the gem, levels don't increase quality, they increase price they can sell for, and also i think darkworld keys, so its damn near worthless to upgrade for a very long time, hall of knights is what increases that. as for guild, just get something that has the 25/25 on gold and exp and sit there for a while, once you hit the mid 50's look and see if someone a bit higher up will take you in, at least the way i see it guilds worth a damn look for active players, the higher level the better but active of any kind helps.
also, on the 50% mount, no, just get it. statistically, with that mount you will get 25 mushrooms by the time its up, and it will add another 20% to what you can do over the second best, at lowerlevels this is a massive increase, not nearly as noticeable higher up.
also, got to say thanks on the heads up for the beer, something i did not know.
for pets, any of the rank 2 or 3 pets will get you to the 12th rank once they are level 100, rank one, i didn't have any of them with the basket so it was a non issue for me.
on the topic of enchantments, get yourself acquainted with all the hidden crap in the game that's not a menu option.
another thing, when it comes to forts, do not settle with 'yea, i can beat this' always go for the beatable people with lots of resources, each win puts you a rank higher and it sucks getting stuck around a bunch of active players who you need to blow every soldier to beat.
We both forgot about events and potions.
Save at least 20 shrooms for the exp event. 2 days of bonus exp and you'll get a lot of levels.
Same goes for the shroom event. You'll earn usualy more than you'll spend.
About the epic event, it's for lvl 50+. You can find epics in shops, but you'll probably have to refresh a couple of times. I don't really recommend it.
The gold event is a nice boost of stats, so you can beat more dungeons.
About the potions. You can buy potions in the magic shop which increase your stats.
main stat > % HP > constitution > luck >the other 2
is what I'll go with. You can skip the % one if you don't have 15 shrooms. Don't buy the 2 last one, it's a waste of gold.
if you aren't buying shrooms, then xp events, the %bottle aren't good to put mushrooms into. hell, till you can enchant the item of the shroom find increase, you are kind of struggling to keep up with the mount, and that mount is the equivilant just under 3 extra days of play time compared to the 30% mount. im level 185 and i only recently got the ability to pull further ahead then just enough for the 50 mount. once i get 100 shrooms on top of what i use for that mount, that is when I'll say sure go for other things just keep enough on hand for the mount first.
doing the math in my head, you don't come out to much farther head with shrooming on bonus weekends, but you can screw yourself over by running to low for that mount.
and in the beginning till around level 55, i focused on stats.
right now, str-con cost 53,000 to upgrade
int dex cost 10000
luck costs 20000
on another character who went through 2 50 mounts only, is level 52,
main stats are int which is 134 to level con with is 200 to level, str dex and luck are 10
progress with the dungeons is finished 7 5 1 1
another one is basicly the same, 52
pretty much the same, except dex based
finished 8 5 1 1
this one has another dungeon down because the wizard is more luck based due to going first or not effects
seeing as getting to 50 focussing on gold took me i want to say 4 months and 50 focusing on exp took 1, and how levels themselves boost you so damn much more than a few stats here and there, is is not worth it to stay low level, people smarter than me have done the runs and showed us level > gold is the way to go, playing those two characters up, yes, that's how you do it. and considering my main character is still climbing the ranks with no real issue, and the 2 i tested/played around with are in the top 5%, i can not recommend focusing on money outside the first gold event.
