Pet food?

I need water element pet food. But all of my random fights against players seem to be light (why can't I random toggle that like every other type of player fight?), and my 3rd level 10 can't beat the 4th level 10.
Do I need to farm any specific map types to get water food? Because I keep getting fire, dark, and earth food in my runs.

Food is completely random.
The 4th pet have better stats than the 3th pet.

Pet arena has a type of element each day. you can see which type is up in the opponent information " With element: (current type of the day) (how many pets they have out of 20)"
Even if its not the element you want, it still helps to do all attacks to build up food in general.

Other source of pet food is from quest. Higher chances during the resource event boost. This is completely random on food type. Still any food is helpful to progress. You do have the power to hold off feeding pets and feed specific types you want. That's about the main control you do have.
