We are sure. :) Avast often regards safe files as malware. You can submit the .exe to another antivirus software to see it is safe.

(kein Bock auf Englisch) Ich habe kein Problem mit der File, wollte nur erwähnen das es definitiv nicht an avast liegt. Bei Steam gibt es allgemein nie Viren, habe ich ehrlich gesagt noch nie gesehen.

avast ist aber nicht Kaspersky. Ergo, meine Aussage ist immer noch komplett richtig.

It even says "generic" in the detection type. Anti-Virus programs occasionally improperly identify harmless programs as malware/harmful programs and refer to them as generic/unidentified for that reason. (This does not mean that all generics are false postives, I am referring to situations like this only.) Common sense should be enough to know when something like this is likely what has happened. It's always important to take note when your program claims it has identified something it perceives as a threat but they do make mistakes. Saying this "has never happened before" does not mean it's a legitimate detection, it just means you've never seen it do this before.
