Nerf to assassins

so i made assassin just because of the 2 slots for gems cause thats the only reason it can be better than scout, and now you nerfed him so i'm just left with inferior class. whats up with that? can i get a class change to scout?

that was the only thing assassin had better than scout, even then i feel like scout was still better, now scout is 100% better. since you roll crit once on scout and twice on assassin, which means you get all crits much rarer, so basically you have higher chance of winning fights especially dungeons. plus you only have to find 1 weapon and not 2.

Assassin still gets 2 attacks, making dodges half as effective. A single dodge or block against a scout is 100% damage gone, meanhwile assassin can still deal half their damage. So your arguement about crits works both ways.

its about higher chance to get good streak, so lets say to have 3 crits in a row on scout you have (at max crit chance of 50%) 0.5X0.5X0.5 which is 12.5%, for assassin its 0.5X0.5X0.5X0.5X0.5X0.5 since its 6 attacks per 3 turn so you get 1.5% to have all crits, see the difference? more turns = even higher difference, so lets say in dungeons you have way higher chance of winning with scouts with exact same stats as you have with assassins cause u're more likely to get lucky with crits.

I THINK Thats not right, for assassin you need to do 0,5*0,5+0,5*0,5+0,5*0,5 because you need to see 2 attacks as 1 try. that means with 3 tries = 6 attacks you have 75% chance to crit all of these or not? and with scout you can crit or not which means 12,5% as you said. but i mean with more attacks it would be more logicallyl if you crit more than the 1,5% you mentioned.

I mean as a scout you attack once and then the enemy attacks, but as an assassin you attack twice and then the enemy attacks so you need to see 2 Attacks as 1 try, as 1 Attacks = 1 try for scouts. or am i wrong there?

But i mean because of that the assassin does way less dmg on crits than the scout because he has more chance to crit than a scout in 1 try. The assasin has 2 chances to crit and the scout only 1.

well thats the reason i'm making this post, assassin right now is weaker than scout in every way. i'm not even sure he was stronger even with 2 gem slots but now he's definitely weaker. since you get way less chance to do good crit rolls and you have to find 2 good weapons instead of 1 AND you have to make 2 gems instead of 1.

Think about it the reverse way for balance. The scout has a far higher chance of a bad streak....i.e delivering no damage. Doing THAT math would indicate it's fairly balanced. I've tested a fairly even scout and assassin against the same opponent and long-term it's much a muchness....the scout can get a massive crit in comparison but then again, can deliver no damage at all for multiple rounds, far more often.

yea, the thing is if u're doing dungeon u dont care if you get bad streak, u'll do it again next time, but you do care that you have much higher chance for good streak that way you can win much harder dungeons, assassin is the other way you have more balanced damage but you have pretty much no chance for good roll so you cant really ever win in harder dungeons. pretty much same goes for harder opponents.

Yes, that's true. I agree with your logic. A scout can potentially defeat a harder opponent in dungeons than assassins if they have a hot run. Thing is, it leads to a playstyle...an assassin can develop to reach a stage where they will surely win....a lucky scout will already have done it...an unlucky scout might still fail where the assassin succeeds. That's not the equalizer tho. The assassin's advantage over scout is that if all respective weapons are the same level i.e scouts 1 and the assassin's 2, the assassin will have a clearly higher damage output than the scout overall.

Just did another comparison....this time in arena which is locked to opponents of similar level. I picked only opponents I was higher than in dex, con and lk, All three. My assassin won 5 out of 5. My scout won 2 outof 5. My assassin is now over 200 ranks above my scout despite both having equal stats - so in arena assassin wins.

you still have to get 2 weapons on assassin when u only need 1 on scout and u still need to get 2 gems.

Yes...but as I said...all being equal, an assassin will have a damage advantage built in over an equal level and equally equipped scout. I make it around 15-20%. Yes, an extra weapon and gem is required but c'mon....we're dismantling or selling them left, right and centre at higher levels. I'm sorry, I just can't agree an assassin is inferior to a scout. It was clearly superior....now they're very similar. In truth, if I wanted to min/max a char I still think an assassin offers the best all-round stats against the gameworld.

you also only compared them to each other in pvp, the same thing goes for pvp against mage as in pvp in dungeons you have much higher chance for good crit streak. and same thing for warriors.
