Ways to get mushrooms

I'm new to this game (started today).

I believe mushrooms are a way to faster the leveling right ? But is there other ways to get them than buying them with real money ?

And if not, is this game playable totally free to play ?

You don't need to buy shrooms, but your progress will be slowed.
You have a 100% chance to get a mushroom on your first mission of the day, and random chance of getting them in later missions.

Slowed like "ho god I can't take this anymore" or slow like "ok, I'll wait" ?

You dont need to buy mushrooms, but you can use them to restore your energy if you want. You get 20 Energy = 1 Mushroom.
If you dont want to "waste" them you dont spend them on items in the shop...
Although the game is free to play so the Msuhrooms just give you an edge over other Players.

You have to pay around 30 bucks worth of mushrooms in order to make a guild that has all bonuses (100% more xp, 100% more gold and 50 slots available in the guild), excluding the raids, which will give you +2% more. But there are a lots of ways to get mushrooms:

1. As ppl said, through missions (there's also... actually, I won't spoil it, there's no witch anyway so I've nothing to spoil. None under level 66 have ever said that there's a witch in there)

2. There are some times given out free coupons of free mushrooms (around 222 mushrooms, or 55) on some streams or smth, and ppl just give them out here, in this forum. So make sure to subscribe 2 discussions lel ;D.

3. Dr Abawuwu - the wheel of fortune (just don't use mushrooms to try to spin it. It's a waste of life)
