The chests that tell a story...

So, some of you have probably seen the chests that start with [XX/36] or (YY/12). I've been trying to find them all, but I'm missing like ten of them and I have no idea where they are.

The ones I'm missing are [2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 28, 30, 32] and (9, 10). I don't want to know what they say, I just want to know where they *are*.

Has anyone found those?

Going by the fact that I miss all of those as well (I took a screenshot of every chest quote up until chapter 6), I suspect the remaining numbers are in the final dungeon. I know that chapter 7 doesn't have any chest quotes, and I suspect that the optional dungeon The Abyss doesn't have them either (too lazy to check right now), so this would be the only option to fit in that many chest quotes that have gone undetected until now.

I actually saw that it was intentional they don't contain them in the Abyss. What eas the intention, exactly? Do the contents vary or something?

Oh...well then. That would explain it. Time to start up NG+ and check every chest in Grancel three times over.

I'd be more interested if there are messages I'm missing that *aren't* covered in that section.

I'm pretty sure the intention here was that Gehenna and the Abyss is where fun times go to die.

All of those except 10/36 are in Grancel night.(So no restarts necessary for those) 25 might not be, my records are not quite precise enough, but I'm pretty sure it's north west Grancel harbor at night, near the lighthouse type thingy. I don't know where 10/36 is, might just not have been thorough enough when re-checking.(Or 11/12 for that matter, though I haven't finished the game yet, late Ch 6)

I recall (11/12) being pretty early; it was the second /12 that I found. Couldn't tell you exactly where, though.

Is there any other place, besides Grancel and Le Locle Lodge, that the chest quote will change for time changing?

Those story chests are just ridiculous. If you can't come up with a silly joke... don't. They're not a pre-requisite, and breaking up a short story into approximately 30 random chests spread throughout a 40-ish hour game is the absolute worst kind of joke--tedious, and without a punchline.

I don't believe so. And for that matter, I'm not entirely certain if any lodge chests change quotes.

I'd argue it's not any more tedious than checking every single chest *anyway*. Not everything has to have a punchline~

If it makes you feel better, I don't *think* the achievement counts those quotes separately.

It does, but 3rd's achievement doesn't require every single chest like FC/SC. It's looser and harder to miss.
