tita x agate is just straight up weird
i mean estelle and joshua is already uncomfortable, but since they're not really siblings i let it pass.

tita and agate though, is just straight up weird for me and probably most of us. their relationship in SC are more brother sisterly, but it's getting overly romantic for my comfort in this, especially how the other characters themselves actually support the pairings.

then again i've seen husbands that are 10 years apart from his wife, and trails games are supposed to be early 20th century equivalent of our earth and on that era marriages between people that have great age difference is still commonplace.

maybe it makes sense in the setting/era but still it weirds me out

You realize everyone was just trolling them right?

I'm not sure Agate actually realizes that he is in a romantic relationship, in his defense. He's less than enthusiastic about going to Zeiss in the first place, and he pretty much beats up anyone who tries to discuss Tita with him. Tita also describes the situation as a huge misunderstanding, although she doesn't actually make it clear what is being misunderstood, which does expectedly little to set anyone at ease.

Agate and Tita do not view each other in that way at all. I also don't see anything from either of the two that supports them being romantic. Its mostly other people joking about it to provoke him for the lulz. As for Tita's parents.... well you've seen her mother. She's a bit cray.

I do get what you mean though... its awkward to read even in jest. Then again, all the Trails games I've played seem to have the whole brother-sister obsession kink to some degree. After a while you just learn to roll your eyes and deal with it.

That's like the joke, and why Erika hates Agate. That's not the relationship the two of them have.

Isn't it all a huge misunderstanding?

I like taboo couples like that with a huge age difference. Anyway, I would say that they are a couple, but they just go at their own pace and have their own view on it. But the love is definitely there. Tita just isn't aware of it yet and Agate is in denial. Even Tita's parents can't seem to deny the affection these 2 have for one another.

They're (quite obviously) not a couple. Some character tease them but that's it. It should be clear since Tita doesn't get the teasing and for Agate it never was more than him watching over her.

Yeah they forgot to add 7 after halving his age

She's 13, that's actually legal in some countries.

She's 13 by game 3. She wasn't in the first two. That limits the countries she's legal in to... quite frankly, very few. A select few, but still very few. Off the top of my head I can think of... Turkey's was lowered to 12 not that long ago, right?

EDIT: Forgot to say, there's also a difference between age of consent and age of majority. For example, in many countries where the age of "consent" is like 14-16, it's still illegal for an adult to engage in sexual relations with those under the age of 18, and those lower ages are basically allowed to do those things together, but not with adults.

100% this.

Don't get me wrong. I think it's great that love can exist in a lot of different forms and I generally support relationships with large age gaps (Like, say, a 19 year old and a 40 year old) but only once everyone involved is a legal adult. COULD I see Tita and Agate ever becoming a thing in the future? Maybe, sure. But that's not the kind of relationship they have.
