Back to Stables is available now! We are really happy to share this cozy little puzzle game with you.

George loves escaping his paddock and going on an adventure, but this time he’s gotten lost. Can you guide him back home? Find the safe path through the handcrafted levels, luring George with apples and carrots. Watch out for wolves and bobcats, so he doesn’t get spooked and runs away.

We hope you enjoy your stay in the cozy world we created for George and have fun solving the puzzles.

The wait is almost over. We’re happy to announce that Back to Stables will be released on March 31st, 2026.

While George is busy shining his horseshoes and getting his best hat ready to meet you, we’ve been testing and tweaking the puzzles. Guide George through spooky forests and charming meadows, avoiding the obstacles and scary forest creatures that stand between him and his safe return home.

Key Features

Lures - George loves apples and carrots. Use these to guide George in the right direction.
Hazards - George can get spooked! Hazards like the Bobcat can easily scare George and make him run away again.
Minigames - Sometimes the easy or short path can be blocked, but with your assistance, George can get through them by solving various minigames!
Customize - Find shiny Treasure Chests containing customization items that can be equipped, allowing George to trot along in a very fashionable way.
Story - Game features 20 main story levels and 5 extra levels, of varying difficulty puzzles for you to solve.

We’re excited to join Steam Horse Fest with Back to Stables!

Meet George, the mischievous horse. George loves a good adventure, but this time he’s wandered too far from home, and he needs your help to get back!

Back to Stables is a cozy puzzle game, where you guide George through spooky forests and charming meadows, and outsmart the scary creatures that block his way home. Place apples and carrots, and watch as George happily prances through the forest, following their scent. Solve minigames to unlock a shortcut, or find customization items to ensure George arrives home in style.
