It works fine for me so far.

The startup issues seem to be down to the default graphics settings.

First, restart your Mac. Launch Steam then, while holding the CMD key, start D:OS2. The games configuration window will open. Select the advanced options tab. Make sure HDR mode is disabled. Enable windowed mode and let the game start with the default window size (800x600 ish).

Once the game has loaded, select Options. Now experiment with the graphics options a bit. Try turning off VSync (Double Buffering causes issues here, but oddly Triple Buffering seems fine). Decrease resolution: If you have a 5K display (5120x2880) then try 2560 x1440. Re-enable fullscreen mode. Apply and accept the settings. If the game doesn't crash, you're probably good to start playing the game. If not, restart your Mac, repeat the process and experiment with the settings some more (e.g. reduce quality presets etc).

I guess the default settings will be patched for better compatibility later.
