EoCApp.exe - System Error
So when I try to get the game open for the first time, I see: "The program can't start because MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
I've tried fixing/verifying game files, and I've searched the discussions and found a Microsoft C package to download, and that's not helped. Any ideas/suggestions?
I'm using Windows 7.

Also, when I submit the error to Larian Studios, if I put any message in to explain what I'm doing, it brings up another error. It does work if I delete my comments... ugh.

This fixed it for me, downloading both versions of the redistributable and restarting my computer.

Good luck!

Hmm, Eliof, are you using a computer where you have full admin rights? If not, you'll need those, or the administrator, to install them for you. Best of luck, let us know how you get on.

If it does not work, go to the game in your library, go to property, local file, and click verify integrity of game files. If there is something wrong it will be replaced by Steam, fixed the problem for me. Hope it helps.

I ended up having to uninstall the respective visual C++ applications (64 and 86. The most recent versions.) in add/remove programs and then re-install them using the download link. Hopefully that helps someone if they're searching this issue.

So this is an update from someone who had a similar issue. I tried a lot of different things to fix it but ultimately out of all my games Rainbow Six Vegas and Divinity 2 wouldn't work. They'd begin starting and then just shut off. I found this thread and attempted to begin the process of uninstalling my C++ applications but for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles I tried the repair option on my two most recent versions of it. IT WORKED. I don't understand why or what happened but if you run into this issue just try that. Its possible my windows update from two days ago was the issue. Hope someone sees this and it helps
