Troll bridge in Cloisterwood (Reaper's Coast)

This is regarding the bridge guarded by Grog the Troll in Cloisterwood in the Reaper's Coast map. When approaching the bridge from the south, he has a reasonable engagement range. When approaching the same bridge from the north however, his engagement range is much larger. I was well over 100 feet away, and was pulled into conversation with him. I tested this repeatedly and came up with the same issue.
