DOS2 on M1 air: L3 R3 buttons dont work! PS5 PS4 controller

Using PS5 controller connected through bluetooth with OS X drivers, L3 and R3 do not work, nor does select/back/share (if button pushed twice, asks to record screen via OS X). However these buttons work in other games and gamepad-tester.com. Have tried steam controller input disabled etc.
Kinda unplayable...
