Massive lag spikes and overheating [Any Help Appreciated]

I bought DOS2 Definitive edition just a day ago and installed it, and I ran the damn thing but it's so hopelessly laggy. I've tried reducing the resolution, lowering texture quality, messing with the other options, unallocating the first 2 cores of my CPU, and a few other stuff but it's so damn laggy. It starts off smooth, everything is cool for a while and then all of a sudden it lags like ♥♥♥♥.

If I'm on a call via Discord, people on the other side keep complaining that even my voice has started getting laggy. My laptop overheats to no end and then literally crashes because it can no longer withstand the heat. I've played games with more demanding hardware requirements like Witcher 3 and GTA 5 to name a few and I've never struggled like this.

The only few things I haven't tried are running classic mode and disabling my antivirus, which I will do now but I don't wanna have to just play classic after I paid for both. Highly considering refunding. It's such a shame because I finished playing Divinity OS 1 on GOG and loved it.

So I think this is a real optimisation problem.
