Red Prince Quest bugged after missing Bahara.
Hey, I'm in need of some help. I've scoured everywhere and I'm unable to find anyone else with a similar issue that's been resolved.

We're currently in Act 2, Reaper's Coast. We spoke to Stingtail, but somehow missed Bahara.

After moving onto Reaper's Coast we are met with this journal log: https://i.imgur.com/aAgmWHW.png

I've searched online, and supposedly I need to talk to Ghangha. He only says this: https://i.imgur.com/yBCYJIh.jpg

And supposedly I can skip all of this completely and go straight to Stonegarden to talk to the dreamer there. Although... He also only says this: https://i.imgur.com/0G2bmq1.jpg

We're stuck. ;~;

I'd advise just ignoring it until you reach the "climax" of his quest. You'll miss the flavor text and all that, but you should be able to continue later. Though at this point, it seems like you don't have the Prince in the party.

Pretty much. He's just there to carry our stuff really. The only thing he'll ever say is "In the meantime, I suggest we continue the search for a dreamer."

I guess we're waiting until Act 3 at the very least? Haha.

Nah, every part of his quest in act two is leading to the meeting with the red princess. As long as you go there you’ll be able to progress. If that fails too, then you don’t have The Prince in your party. I mean, you do, but the game doesn’t seem to realize it as you’re getting all the voice lines other characters get.

Oh god, yeah. Okay, so you're right. We don't actually have the Red Prince in our party anymore.

Finally got around to checking. Somehow, the game has managed to remove "The Red Prince" tag from the Red Prince.

Well... ♥♥♥♥.

Are there any workaround to potentially adding it back in? Maybe Cheat Commander or something could cheat it onto him?

Gotta say then, I've never seen that issue before and have literally no idea how you would fix it. Cheat commander isn't likely to have what you're after. There was a cheat program I remember seeing someone mention awhile back. It works not just with Divinity, but I forget the name, it was simple though, cheat engine or something basic like that. It was a bit more complicated to use, but I'm willing to be that it could do what you're after. Maybe.

I mean, This is not a normal issue. Very odd.

Hey I know this was long ago but did you ever find a fix or a way to re-add the tag. On current playthrough 1 the reasons I am not playing it as much was I couldn't figure why quest was not working and then I looked into tags and noticed it gone.

Assumed was because Red Prince for me is my player character (his name and re-spec still says he red prince even)

We had the exact same scenario as described in the original post. Our Red Prince did have his Red Prince tag, still, but otherwise the problem was the same.

We did manage to advance the quest in the end, by talking to Sadha. Initially this didn't do anything.

We had started playing with 2 players, and recruited the Red Prince in to our party. Another player joined us, who took over control of the Red Prince. It seemed that he was unable to complete certain parts of the storyline with us, as he was 'just a party member'. The same problem seemed to occur here.

It was solved by giving control of the Red Prince to the player who originally recruited him (Menu => Party Management), and then talking to Sadha again. This presented extra dialogue options and advanced the quest.

Hope this helps someone else who got as stuck as we did.

That's an old thread but for those who still have similiar problem : you can edit your savegame and manually add Red Prince tag to Red Prince.
