Infinite gold bug/exploit

So it's not infinite per se, but this bug allows you to reliably steal all of a merchant's gold.

1: Acquire a coin pouch.
2: Put some money in it.
3: Sell it to a trader.
4: Make sure the trader doesn't have any loose gold coins, now all money the trader gets will enter the coin pouch.
5: Buy the coin pouch back with gold.

The gold you pay for the coin pouch will automatically enter the coin pouch, and you get the coin pouch with ALL the gold in it. I've cleaned out all the merchants with this bug, it's a little bit ridiculous.

I also found out today after noticing I somehow had 15k whereas I've only had maybe 5k-ish before, and knowing I didnt sell that much stuff.
After arriving on the ship, I have Unis's coin pouch in Ifan's inventory and I've never touched either Beast or Lohse so when I switched to them to give them some of my discarded items so they wouldn't be essentially naked.
I sent Ifan back to his spot. Then the game sends back the pouch since it was a quest item? (Same thing happens with Migos ring and Fanes mask if they are in one of your companions inv and you dismiss them) and it seems to double the amount of gold every time.
I found that out after checking and I had over 30k.
Crazy stuff.
