Treated like cattle bugged

Continued quest up to curing Mabel, learned later that there was a recipe for a 2nd potion. Killed froggy for the Witches Recipe book and made a 2nd potion, talking and giving it to Geraldine doesn't cure her(him? the ghost has a male sillhouette) nor does it take the potion from my inventory. Killing her/taking her source doesn't update the journal.

I know I can skip this but I'm missing out on XP and now my Journal has a wasted line. Please have this patched.

Using the potion has me stuck on cow mode, and unable to move or control the cow'd character. Transforming cow into a chicken via polymorph turns character back to normal, but with a permanent smelly effect.

I just want the quest out of my journal. Using the potion and resurrecting completely removes its effect, but the quest is still there.

Yep. Can't cure second cow on my run either. She says she is drinking it and says yum but does not turn back into a human, the potion remains in my inventory and the quest does not close.
