The Advocate Vacuum Aura

The Advocate produces a perma Vacuum Aura after asking him about who is behind the voidwoken. The fight initiates and him as Neutral. In my encounter, he casted a couple of AoE spells on one of my character that had 1 point of Retribution that dealt him damage when I did not even intend to do so. This caused him to trigger a warning dialogue for neutral characters that's about to go hostile after few more attacks.

I can't claim this is a bug yet, or really just intended. But it makes no sense.
Also, the Vacuum Aura won't go off. My magic armor is getting depleted when i'm near him (not in combat) and the demon dog beside him gets affected as well.
