Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames' folder. In Windows Explorer you can zip file(s) and folder(s) by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipped) Folder'.
A similar issue (minus the crash) was fixed just before the last update, but it may not have made it into the release (once testing starts, fixes are selectively and manually moved over to the beta branch).
Thanks.
Edit: It has been sent.
I should also mention during the Alexander fight before this. The Seekers Gareth grants you if you ask for them to help you, did absolutely nothing in the fight. They stood stationary and took no action the entire time. I had the dwarf guy and the lizard woman requested to help. And they did not move through that whole fight. The lizard seeker woman ended up dying, the dwarf seeker guy lives and still stands on the top of the stairs til this day giving his standard dialogue. They did not react to any damage or anything during the Alexander fight (which took place a good while ago). Which you will see with the file. Im not sure if this contributes to the crash or not or if its own seperate issue.
