I've never played DnD and have no idea how it plays
Thanks for the replies!
It's the best mode in this game and the best GM mode iv'e ever seen in any game.
You really need to look into pen and paper play before you judge.
DnD is awesome and 99.9% of all PRG's are based on it.
"That sounds pretty boring to me. "
If that sounds boring I'd be curious to know what it is you'd like GM mode to be.
Wow, the editor/Divinity Engine Toolkit is exactly what I was looking for! I didn't know it existed. Thanks for pointing this out!
To each their own with GM mode. I dislike it's concept and would prefer a living game world than one that is being actively decided by a single player. But in this case I guess I was more biased about it since I was expecting it to be like the editor (before I knew the editor existed).
I thought GM mode was a basic tool that allowed me to build a small story/campaign that I or others could play. Something that allowed basic scripting and player interactions with the world, not some god interacting with their pawns.
Luckily I now learned that an editor exists for exactly what I want to do.
Thanks everyone for the information.
Yeah the Editor is the swiss knife for both the stand alone adventure designer as much as for the resources to be used by a "pen and paper" group.
Theeditor story designer seems really robust ( and with a lot of stuff to break and learn )
