Using custom NPCs in GM Mode
Is there any way to place custom NPCs in the GM mode selection? So for example: I make a 'Red Cleric' in the Divinity Editor. Would I be able to then have it appear in the creature tab in the GM Mode?

I'm basically confused as to how to load/use any of the stuff I do in the editor into the actual game when I am in GM Mode and preparing a campaign.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks :)

The mod you made should show on your mod list in game. If you make a map you can load it up in a scene. I don't know how to put NPCs into the GM npc list but I know it's possible.

Has anyone figured this out yet? I know this is a old post but would be good information.

You need to place your NPC in the editor in a level created for GM Mode in the editor. Create a scene with that level and "save" the NPC. Once you have saved the NPC it is part of your GM Creatures palette( for that campaign/save only) and you can delete the orginal scene and even the mod from your campaign/save.

Thanks, I'll take a look into Divinity editor, that way I can make all creations there and bring them to multiple gamemaster games.

Like said above, you need to save the NPC in a mod/scene. However, when you right click the NPC and save it, when the new window pops up, make sure to look under the GM Mode header and enter in the fields (What tab will it appear under, and what is it's name?).

Just a tip, make sure that you actually save the characters/creatures you make with your mod as a root template instead of just loading the map and exporting. Sometimes exporting doesn't save features like scaling - which cannot be changed within GM mode.

When you're in the window for making a new root template, there's a subsection called "GM". There is a dropdown box that determines which tab it will be placed under, and the second field can be named anything you want, which will be the category you select under the tab in GM mode.

This makes it easier because you then don't have to go in and export in GM mode and then modify afterwards.
