Party Suggestions
Hi guys!

I am a beginner of DoS II and I have searched what are the best options to enjoy the game. I have looked around for good builds and found a lot intrestring ones from Fextralife.

I was planning to play a human with the Druid build.

The other 3 characters I want in the party are:

- The Red Prince: As a Eternal Warrior
- Lohse: Ranger
- Fane: Tidalist

The aim is for me the play a 50/50 Physical-Magic, which I believe is the best for the beginners.

What do you think? Would that work? Any suggestion? :)

Thank you!

My main changeup here would be giving Fane a secondary combat attribute. Hydro is fine, but you'll run out of spells a lot early on, and the water resistant enemies in the game (not a lot, but there are a few) will make him feel practically useless. Geo, Aero, and Necro all pair really well with hydro, and 2 of those pairings are presets you can recruit, with cleric giving necro and enchanter giving aero.

I'm not sure what fextralife has a druid listed as, but I'm guessing some kind of summoner support.

50/50 damage split is the best way to go, but keep in mind hydro can deal physical damage to undead with heals, and rangers can deal any type of damage with special arrows that can be bought and crafted. This isn't at all a bad thing, it's just something to be aware of so you don't view your ranger as someone who has to deal only physical damage.

Ok, checked the druid video. I saw they took ALL of the summon hybrid skills on there. I wouldn't go that hard into it. Focus on pumping summoning to 10 as quickly as you can (level 8 if you focus solely on that and get all skilled up at level 3 or 8). If you get gear early on that buffs summoning, you can put points elsewhere once it hits 10. 10 summoning gives a much larger boost than any other point, as it changes the scaling on the incarnate's stats. You may want to equip the "Viper's Fang" sword in fort joy so you can get a warfare point, purely to be able to use bouncing shield and to have a more reliable attack. Always summon and buff the incarnate before combat so your first turn isn't wasted on doing so every encounter. Totems are great for distractions and for crowd control if you use water and electric totems.

I would pick one or two incarnate elemental infusions to use and stick to that, if you get all 4/8 you will find yourself never using most of them. Keep in mind summoning on blood also gives a blood incarnate if you think physical damage will help your current encounter. Blood incarnates will also be able to drop enemy physical armor when using their battering ram skill, so it will be much easier to knock the enemies down with it.

Thank you for your tips! I will try to do as you say. I was also a bit unsure regarding pointing everything to water so I think I will freestyle and add some Necro maybe (Always liked it).

Honestly, if it’s first time, I’d recommend just trying things out and learning what you can. The more you try, the better idea you’ll have if which skills do what.

I’ve never really looked at the fextralife stuff, but I’ve not really been a fan of what I’ve seen when people describe the builds to me.

I think I have some experience with this Druid thing. My Summoner eventually evolved into something that looks like that. But with equipment I ultimately had like 18 Summoning and 3 in most of the other trees + some Polymorph for skill point dumping and like 43 memory (max + Mnemonic). It was my most versatile character and can adapt to any damage needs while using spells from different elements via the Pet (even Source Pets later on).

What I liked about it was that it wasn't rigid. It can change up arming for different types of enemies I "suspected" I might encounter (not always correct lol). Most of the actual character spells were utility type spells though as you might suspect, the drawback of not pumping Int. But you will have a lot of variation. But you can do stuff from Buffing to Surface manipulation. And you get to make a huge Fire Surface (Scoundrel Pet) with pretty nice damage that can help a Pyro character. I had the most fun with this character and I would say it's the MVP of my party in terms of tuning the tide of combat. This was in Tactician Honour mode (blind run for the most part) so I guess it's viable. Especially because of adaptability.

Also, one tip is that since you're not using attributes as your primary focus, you can put points into Strength and Intelligence to wear those armors. Finesse has lower total armor so you can get higher numbers by mixing Str and Int armors (skewing Physical and Magical in any direction), in addition be being able to use more of what you find/buy.

Just try everithing (you can reset after the tutorial), the only cost is you would need to pay the skills, but to be fair you can EASLY have almost infinit money. With stealing+reset habilities.
I'm in the second island and i have more than 120K

I want to try going 4 invocation dudes. Full monsters, why have 4 companions if i can have 8.
But for now i have melee two handed (with polymorf) +rogue 2dagers+ archer+invocation dude+suport skills (with shield ... shields OP xD).
I'm playing in the second most dificulty.
Just try 1 team and then change it if you want to, play what you like. I'm doing that and i'm doing fine.
