Mordus' House Puzzle
A friend and I killed Mordus and got into his basement. Now we're stuck in the basement trying to get the grips on the puzzle. Can anyone explain what we have to do? Do we have to get all the tiles to poison or do we have to get them to fire? Some strange mix between the three elements?

If you use spirit vision, the solution appears at the top of the puzzle
Oh of course! That should have been one of the first things we should have done! My friend was using it everytime he could, but after a couple of rough patches we started spending our source points into fighting things. Thanks Harmtouch!
No problem = ), happy to help
I am here and have used spirit vision. I do see the solution but for the life of me I can't get it to combo. Do i need each individual character to dechain from group and walk them around or what?
Also, btw, spirit vision doesn't use any source to cast! Use it freely!
So what.. that doesnt help at all. How am I suppose to solve it? I walk on and off, and each stone doesnt change into wanted symbol.. this is real cryptyc, maybe I messed up and I need to load old save game? :|
The solution is relativly simple but you'll need a 5th "weight" to actually solve it. (Try the Vases who stand in the vicinity). The mechanics work like this: On the field there are several pressure Plates. If someone stemps on a pressureplate the fields around him (and i think the field he stepped on too) gets an elemental marker above their heads. Its Water if just 1 'Aura' of a weighted pressure plate hits it. If another pressureplate in the next vacinity is weighted and the 'Aura' of the elemental Symbols would collide with the Aura of the first plate the Elemental Symbol changes and becomes "Fire" for 2 colliding Auras and "Poison" for 3. Your job is now to Position your People on the field so all of the Auras form the Image which you can see with Spirit Vision. But to do this you Need 5 presse Plates weighted and have just 4 characters :)

Have fun!
If you don't want to spend the time figuring it out, here are the five pads on which you have to place your weights. There are five pots in the room, use them and/or party members.

Orient your screen so the locked door is at the top (due North will be at the top of your screen).

2. Column 2, Row 2
3. Column 4, Row 2
4. Column 2, Row 3
5. Column 4, Row 4
I spent so much time on this, I got both all water and all fire and nothing happened. All poison is impossible but now I learn I have to use a skill I don't even have yet...Dumb design, at least some hints would've been nice.
"I learn I have to use a skill I don't even have yet... Dumb design" ... Sorry man, but it could be a dumb player. There is -ZERO- required skills on your character needed to do this. You just drag the 5 jars where you need them (or the 4 players and one jar, I am lonewolfing it)
Blaming the game for a 'dumb design' instead of using your head is... well... dumb. Also you said "At least some hints would've been nice" THE ANSWER IS FLOATING IN FRONT OF YOU.

Also you said you got all water... how'd you pull that one off. Getting all water would be harder then actually solving the puzzle lol. Oncus, I think you need to accept that maybe it was to hard and improve yourself over blaming design. Be a gamer, not a complainer.

The dumb player would be you in this case, since you do need spirit vision to see the desired pattern of the puzzle. Without it, it's impossible to guess.

Getting all water is quite simple. Much easier than getting the correct combination. btw, I solved this without moving any jars - why waste time moving jars when you can simply summon the 5th weight you need?

I'm having trouble with this too!

The dead mouse was hint enough for me that I needed the spirit vision ability.

But if you want puzzles that require no brain, go ahead and play Skyrim

Please, don't speak about engaging your brain then turn it off when replying.
It was possible to get to this area without acquiring spirit vision and a dead rat means nothing. They may have fixed this in the new version, but that just proves the mistake was there. Mixing perception with logic that is needed to solve the puzzle does not do you any favours.
