Can't get Tyrant's Stride

So, I am wrapping up quests before leaving Fort Joy and am trying to run down the Tyrant's set. I Found a site describing the location, went there, talked to the statute and I get stupid comments about it's stare. Allegedly I need wits 15+, so I set up first 15 then 19 on one of my companions. All I get is a comment about the statute's stare. I don't show that I picked up the legs, per the quest. What am I ACTUALLY supposed to do here?!

So to be clear, you're down in the room where all of the Soul Jars are for Withermoore. You're standing at the statue up the ladder on the left side of the room if your camera is facing from where you came towards the jars and you're actively controlling a character with a high wits? If I'm not mistaken, the Tactician difficulty Wits required for that is only 17. Either way, have the character buff with Peace of Mind for a boost and cook a pumpkin in a cooking pot for pumpkin soup for an additional +2 Wits. Using all of that, at that location, should yield you the item.

I will note though, that aside from the gold from selling it, the item isn't worth much. That set is often outdated by the time you get it, hard to get rid of since you need to find new items for every slot it takes due to the curses and overall not very good stat wise overall anyway.

Ah, I was at the wrong statute. I didn't even realize there was a second one and all the web pages showed too close a view. Thanks. Even if the armor isn't great, I want to complete the quest.

Yeah, I suspected as much. Wouldn't be the first player I've assisted with that problem. Its a bit more out of the way and the ladder can be easily missed if you're not looking from the right angle or if you didn't trigger the second skeleton fight, since one of the skeletons spawns up there.
