As the title says.
What does the Ancient altar at Mordus excavation site do?
Cant get the quest done. Do I need to meet mordus first or what am I missing?
Its the camp just outside driftwood to the west

Its the Vulture set from the four relics gift bag. You need to learn how to craft the proper offering but be warned the fight you might find yourself in is level 14-15.

You can do this regardless of level or origin character, as long as you have the excerpt from the witches hut. Source-Infused Meat needs to be crafted as an offering to summon the Undertaker. Source-infused meat (Muttom, any earth essence, source orb). Placing Source-Infused Meat on that altar will summon Duna's Undertaker.

Since you really don't get any experience from the battle (only like 350 xp or something) most consider doing it the peaceful way the best and quickest, and easiest. You can make your great armor for your archer type, and be done with it without worrying about battling a very hard group for no experience and the same results.
