Driftwood: Lost and Found quest, Lagan hasn't returned.

I talked to Lagan and told him that I'd find his ring. I picked it up and the voidwoken attacked. Lagan ran off at the start of battle. I killed the voidwoken, but Lagan hasn't returned. Can I find him somewhere else? I looked all over Driftwood.

Never mind. I found him further to the east along the path between the hills. He seemed to be stuck in a pathing loop, and the dialog said he was still staring into the water. I was able to give back the ring and complete the quest though.

I know this is old subject, but it just reappears for me in definitive edition, and this is only topic where I found solution, so just for further notic, he is stuck at coordinates x:193, y:90
