Flesh sacrifice vs Encourage (stat comparison since rebalance of encourage)
Soooo not saying flesh sacrifice isn't usful because it still gives 1 AP and blood for use but I feel encourage has now become balanced with it as a racial in the last update for use.

Flesh sacrifice being the long running best damage racial:
10% Damage
1 AP
- (x) con

Encourage which due to the small buff it got is now better:

AOE for you and allies

Strength +1 (+2 at level 7)
Finesse +1 (+2 at level 7)
Constitution +1 (+2 at level 7)
Intelligence +1 (+2 at level 7)

1 point equals 5% damage so at level 7 it's 10% more


So now for damage numbers I think encourage is better if you are going for numbers and for a party of people it's just made even more effective.

Flesh Sacrifice is +10% of your total damage. Encourage is just a +2 additive stat increase. It's better but still not nearly as good.

Uhm what? you do know 2 finess for example gives 10% more finess damage which it gives 2 for strength, finess, and intellect so it does effect all damage sources anyways... You besically said

Ok think of it like this:

Let's say for example you have a 2-H knight. Lets assume just to make the math easier that he has no warfare ect, and just has 40 strength. 40 strength means he does an additional 150% damage for a total of 250% damage.

So with Flesh Sacrifice, 10% of 250% damage makes him have 275% damage.

With Encourage, he gets 42 strength for a total of 260% damage.

When you factor in the other multiplicative damage types like warfare and scoundrel, the disparity gets larger. That said, encourage isn't bad, especially since it's an AoE. It's just notably worse than Flesh Sacrifice.

The consitution is also nice, but in most cases damage output > survivability.

ah yeah i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the math up...

I was doing Y+(250%+10%)=Z for both instead of Y+250%=X+10%=Z for flesh sacrifice. thanks for clearing that up for me and whoevery reads this but this does mean elf and human are the best combo for lone wolf due to racials like a human tank due to the buff on tuant and maybe and elf rogue for an insane sword and board of flesh sacrifice and encourage.

Elves are still the strongest race for any conceivable build unless you have to carry shields. More AP is just unbelievably strong. Humans are the second strongest because crit chance is always good. For tanks, I personally think undead humans are better instead of regular humans because you get the crit chance for bouncing shield etc and can also do memes with shackles of pain and health potions.

Lol at people thinking elf is the best.

Fane is the best, not human not elf.

I will explain why.

You get fane you get fake death + time warp + imuum for deathfrog and healing on poison.

1) There is a ton of poison that doesn't effect you
2) Deathfog that randomly nukes you to death if you don't know everything = fane going to be better
3) fake death is extremely overpowered to the point you can cheese any fight endlessly, having access to this is really strong.
4) time warp is the strongest racial ability in the game, it's basically a extra extra turn.
5) it gives you 2 inititive which is really strong as opener is everything and 5% more crit.
6) it gives you access to the face mask at the start of the boat, which gives you access to adrenaline really early on.
7) No need for lockpicks, saves a ton of weight / space and money most of all. helps you all throughout the game.

Then to make fane the pinacle of overpowered.

8) get a faceripper, rip off a elf head and get a source orb, and combine it into a elf mask. You equip that mask and turn into a elf, then de-equip it and put a normal helmet in there. so you don't lose a helmet slot.

9) now you got, time warp + flash sacrifice.

This means the following:

With that reset polymorph source skill you can do stuff like this with lonewolf:

1) open up with 7 combo points ( haste buff )
2) flesh sacrifice = 8 combo points
3) time warp = 6 combo points
4) adreline = 8 combo points
5) executioner = 10 combo points
6) nuke the whole row of combo points to zero with damage, with elemental affix that could be as much as 4-5 attacks
7) time warp goes into activation = a second round just for you.
8) 5 combo points ( haste and adreline -2 cut )
9) kill a target = 7 combo points that round total because executioner again.
10) push to one combo point and push evasion.
11) let them miss on you, next round you press delay
12) now again 2 rounds to your disposal to ditch 13 ap in total of damage output over 2 rounds
13) stealth
14) end turn in stealth
15) delay turn in stealth
16) again a 7 ap round ( and 2 more with executioner for every attack )
17) this 7 ap round, make sure you got 3 ap left
18) use that skill polymorph that resets all cooldowns ( 2 ap cost )
19) adreline + flesh sacrifice = 5 ap again and 10% damage again.
20) use 4 combo points, last combo point evasion
21) end turn, delay turn = 2 turns again 13 ap + 4 from executioner
22) then stealth
23) end turn in stealth to get rid of adreline ap negative
24) delay turn
25) again 2 turns 13 ap + 4x ap from executioner.

Rip any boss.

Then flesh eater is even more overpowered for some classes, like blood orientated chars with elemental affix will spam way more damage output without having to blood rain every time in a battlefield.

And for archers, blood is probably the strongest damage booster, with elemental arrow head you basically always open completely free as AP you gain from flesh eater will mitigrate the cost of that skill. which result max damage always at no ap cost.

Then you can always get rid of elf and move back to fake death whenever you think you would profit from it.

Elf has garbage talents and racial specially or lonewolfs. Human same thing.

Conclusion:

There is no competition, fane is alone at the top.

Well, of course he is. But the question was race, not origin character. Any origin character can be any race.
