Help with Umbral Totem while fighting possessed Dwarfs

So I encountered a group of possessed Dwarfs around an umbral totem and I was able to kill them off with ease, but now I'm stuck in combat and I have to "silence the totem". Anyone know how I go about doing this. There's a pool of source in front of it but casting bless doesn't do anything.
