Question about the Heart of the mother tree

So i arrived at the nameless isle and found the heart. After getting "rooted" this Blind elven girl tells me to kill the tree to free all elves from tyranny. I thought about it and concluded: let's do this. But there is seemingly no way to kill the tree. I killed the woman standing in front of it and started a very hard fight. After winning nothing happens. I can hit the tree with all weapons i have. There is also no conversation option with any of my characters.

I already killed the shadow prince. I heard he gives you a deathfog grenade to kill the tree. So it's too late for that. But i also heard that people just clicked the tree and had the option to kill it.

Has anyone a idea what goes wrong?

thats weird . I never got the quest from the shadow cose I had already killed the Tree . Is sebille with you? once you kill the elf , she is supposed to tell you to step aside and she does something .

I killed the elf in there. But nothing happens afterwards.

when you killed the elf , did others elf show up as well as Totem from the ground? you may have to reload though .

Yes, they showed up. I killed them all. But nothing happened afterwards.

seem like you found a bug . If you have Sebille (or playing as her) and clicking on the Tree does nothing , it must be a bug . I'm afraid you will have to just move on .

You may wanna contact support , they maybe able to help . They did with me , even sent me a quick save so I could see the ending until they fix a bug .
