How does Stench work exactly?
Will melee opponents ALWAYS ignore me?
I have heard that they will, so long as you have a good amount of Physical/Magic armour.

What if I have Opportunist?
Can I just run up to melee opponents, only to have them run after my allies and give me a free Attack of Opportunity? Or is the AI smart enough to recognize that it is not worth it?

In my experience, the AI doesn't give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about attack of opportunity. I've had so many npcs suicide via attack of opportunity it isn't even funny. That's on Tactician/Honour mode.

So you think Opportunist + Stench could be a good combo? Usually you don't take Stench on melee characters since you want them to soak some damage, but in this case I can see it being worth it, especially on a build that sacrifices durability for damage.

It would probably work. I'm not sure that's the optimal use of talents, but if you enjoy it go for it.

I wonder how Stench works if you are the only character vs some melee enemies.

It doesn't. All stench does is lower you on the priority list. If you are all that's left, then they kill youm
