Please please please, for the love of gods, remove the source point requirements from Bless. As it is, I never feel comfortable using it. During the EA, it was my favorite spell, right after haste and spread your wings, but now, I just don't like using it anymore.

For one, source abilities require the memory slots like all abilities, but unlike normal abilities, you can't "just use them". Bless serves as a gimmick ability, so you need to be using it on quest etc. which further makes it uncomfortable to keep using source points, because having to make a trip to your nearest source puddle to recharge the ability, is REALLY annoying.

Secondly, when I have to make a decision between "do I want to spend a source point casting bless, or something that is way more powerful", why would I ever use bless? Source points are not plentiful enough nor can you carry them enough to make spending them on bless a viable choice, ever.

Thirdly, something like holy fire is not that broken anyway, since all enemy NPCs, as long as they are human, will benefit from it as well, so, it is still a doubled edged sword by default.

Or, if you feel like it would completely break the game to make Bless "free to use", like adrenaline, or teleport, or tactical retreat etc. I hope there will be modding tools so I can at least make it "free" in "my game".

Thank you if you read my post!

PS. I do want to say I love the game, so not to come across a hater. :)

Source reqierment for bless is a joy killer and makes certain situations who would've been hard but fair into a chore (Voidwoken ooze monsters in blackpits) There are a large number of enemies who curse everyting just by touching it and fill the entire area with necrofire (Which is one type of geo effects I really HATE) Bless would be the counter to it but it's source limitation makes it useless because you can only counter it once. another Issue is the fact that it's way too weak to actually deserve a source requierment.
It should either be reverted to it's alpha state where no source was needed or buffed so that the source point actually makes sense (For example albe to remove curse AND turn the surface holy at the same time)

Thank you, I forgot to mention this! Yes, smacking a voidwoken, zombies, frogs etc. almost every other "less sanitary" creature, curses the surface(s) that they are standing on.

I was not pleased at all to the change of Bless requireing source as well. It makes less sense that you HAVE to use source to use bless, when you're given the skill to cast it by a god, and it not being THAT beneficial to warrant it and more of a nusiance.

I feel that way about alot of the source spells at least that we saw in EA. But now they bundled that in with Bless too. It was a fair ability before the source requirement.
Was about to make a similar thread, but will just throw my agreement in here. Everything else can curse incredibly easy and it would still be a balance decision on whether to spend AP on bless or not, but as is, with the source cost, it was never in my tool bar unless required by a quest.

It looks like the game is crealy designed around Bless not requiring source and yet it does for some reason that I can't quite figure out!
There is nothing wrong with Bless as a Source point skill. It was fine and it was part of the story.
I never used it outside of the couple times you need it for quests. I always thought it should be like Spirit Vision but just cost AP, not source. Really not worth it mainly because if you bless cursed fire, for example, next turn it will just be cursed again by the enemy. It's needs buffed. Should give bonuses to resistances or something for a turn or two.
